Hi Mr. Goble! Longtime listener, first time writer. I've loved your music since I first started rockin'! One of the first records I ever owned I stole from my big sister because it had "Help Is On Its Way". I've only been lucky enough to have seen the LRB in concert one time, but it was post-Glenn, and it just wasn't what I had hoped (although it rocked! I do love "Night Owls). Then one day recently I discovered "Full Circle" -- wow! That would be a DVD I would love to get my hands on but it's nearly impossible to find here in the states. I keep checking your website to see if you're doing any touring but it doesn't appear so. If you do, my wife and I will be there (she's a huge fan, too!) Thanks for all your wonderful music and poems -- it's terrific. Have a great summer!
Graeham, thank you for the quick delivery of "The Silence" CD which arrived today. I have been a fan of yours since I saw the band at the El Mocombo in Toronto back when you first came to North America. A group of us came to see you and became fans after the first song. Will you ever come back to North America so we can here your voice or voices again I know you have a lot of fans here still wanting to hear "the original voices of LRB"? Thanks again for "The Silence" and keep up the terrific work.
Your songs are wonderful.
All the best to you and your team.
Graeham, Thanks for getting the "Silence" CD out to me. The quality was much better than expected. The songs were great. The music holds up well against many of the "garage bands" that I have from that era. I am sure there were limitations on your recording process at the time, but the songs came out very well anyway. The vocals and musical prowess of the band members was first rate. I am quite happy with my purchase.
i was listening to the radio when "I'm Coming Home" came on, I was about 16 years old when i first heard the song and bought the record it was on, "The Last Romance" album. Now I'm 43 years old and I'm still mad about the song 27 years later. I searched the net to find the video and found it on You Tube. I've played it so many times, it's a great iconic song. THANKS
I want to say that I am an HUGE Beatles lover. As a musical band and personalities, no one could ever touch them. With that being said, I am a huge LRB fan. I mostly heard LRB on the radio in the early '80s .The sound and harmonies are awesome. My favourite LRB song is Man On Your Mind. I love and listen to that song over 'n over 'n over again! I recently looked up the beginning of LRB. I just discovered that you wrote songs as well as sing them with the band. I watch the youtube videos of LRB, and play them over again. AWESOME. I think that it would be spectacular if the original members would get together and tour the U.S. Each concert would be a sell out. Keep up the good things and good luck in your life..
I have followed Little River Band from the start and basically have every recording (and every related recording) ever made; I was thus excited to come across the music I recently ordered. (And, I was very intrigued by the "Someone's Taken Our History" tune... fabulous song, with a powerful and sad message; but we know who the real Little River Band is in our hearts!!!). I'm just crestfallen how S. Housden has blocked you original three from touring. I've always loved his guitar playing, but have not been at all happy with the legal manuvers he's pulled to keep you guys from performing as "Little River Band"!
I must say, it's very nice to hear you doing the lead vocals on these newer cd's of yours. Steve Wade, Susie Ahern, etc, are all very good, and do your music justice... but it really does come alive when you sing your tunes. (I always wondered if that was you singing "I Didn't Stand A Chance".)
I lead the music in my church, and almost everything I do has LRB influence in it... lots of harmony, really cool, unexpected chord changes, etc. Both young and old alike seem to really love it; little do they know where the influence comes from.
I thank you from the bottom of my heart for the years of great, meaningful music (that's even clean enough for my kids to listen to). You have truly ministered to and helped to shape my heart that continues to long for quality music. No one, simply no one has ever been able to replicate those "heavenly" harmonies... largely due to that signature top 3rd!!!!
Take care
Dear Graeham: I just wanted to send you my very warmest wishes for your 62nd birthday! I hope you had a blessed and fulfilling day with your family and friends! Best Wishes to you in the coming year and in all of your "days ahead"! ;-) I live in hope of someday seeing you live and meeting you too! I'd like to be able to express to you just how much you and your music have meant to me and have inspired me all throughout my life! Love!
Hello Graeham, I last wrote you a message a couple of years ago just after the "The Days Ahead" was released. It has been well and truly played and became one of my favourites (along with the LRB "No Reins" album). A friend from my barbershop quartet days also has it and was also impressed. Cheers
I followed the link you posted and got your album through iTunes. Very, very nice. Some reminiscent of the old LRB sound and some very new. I have to tell you, I am a huge fan of the old LRB sound - that from the first three albums. Please keep the music coming. I love what you do!!! And yes, I got the BSG album too. Love it!!!
